I'm using CentOS 6, so am looking at the
packages.icinga.org/EPEL/6/release/x86_64 directory
I see nothing about "Icinga Web" in there.
I've installed the following:
icinga2-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
icinga2-classicui-config-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
icinga2-common-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
icinga2-debuginfo-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
icinga2-doc-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
icinga2-ido-mysql-0.0.6-1.el6.x86_64.rpm
I found http://localhost/icinga but I'm looking for the "new" interface.

# yum install icinga-web icinga-web-mysql
# more /usr/share/doc/icinga-web-*/README.RHEL
<create db>
<edit access.xml in /etc/icinga-web for icinga2.cmd>
http://localhost/icinga-web (root/password)

I'll add that information later when fixing other docs bugs/features.

So how do I access icinga web?? Is there anything I need to install to

Without telling me which distribution you're on and which packages
you've installed it's hard to tell.

Choose if you want to use Icinga Classic UI (that's described in the
docs) or Icinga Web (that's a package install, and requires changes to
access.xml for the external command pipe path - details on the Icinga
1.x docs). Furthermore, Icinga Web requires DB IDO and
ExternalCommandListener enabled as features, and a database backend
setup ofc. Basically you'll just take the standard icinga web install,
and just point to different backends.

Good Morning all,
I am following the instructions at
docs.icinga.org/icinga2/snapshot
and
have got as far as "2.6 Running Icinga".
It appears to be running however there is no mention of what web
address I
need to use to access it. I also don't see a default username and
password.
Well Icinga 2 acts as daemon only, and interfaces are available
through
different backends installed. But you're right that this shall be
clarified.

You can either use the Classic UI Standalone, or Icinga Web. The
latter
needs to be documented too.

Username/Password was asked some days ago, I've fixed that in git and
that is reflected online as well as 'Default Login'.

Also, as I want to use Icinga2, do I need the "Classic UI"
(paragraph 2.2).
I have never used Icinga so if there is other doco I should be
reading, it
should be mentioned in the Icinga2 doco.
True that. https://dev.icinga.org/issues/5498
