Thanks Kurt, for confirming that it should not be a problem. In the meantime I found out that IBM had ordered V24 for us *without* asking for our z/OS level, which is 2.3, all on the strength of us having bought V2. This might explain the discrepancy with the SMPE level. I am now waiting for the software version that fits our z/OS version and see what happens with the apply. The biggest problem is that there is no good documentation coming with the CBPDO. I seem to remember that the program directory contained the software prerequisites, i.e. the z/OS level fitting the product.
