I normally do all I/O in amode 24 because of the EODAD of AL3 the open having an AL3 for the DCB My program has two entry points or rather an entry for the open and alias entry point for the read it is loaded for the open and read but since it is linked as reusable the DCB that it was opened With remains in memory as all this code runs under the same TCB the open completes successfully in amode 24 In trying to do a READ with SF64 and 64 bit buffer whether the macro is 24 or 64 amode I get a S0C4 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
