Not why I asked.  Just wondering why you think you need to specify those.  Can 
you post the JCL in its entirety used to create the backups?

Looking at the tape label you posted separately, I cannot decipher all the 
fields definitively without the headers, but I see RECFM=U, I just don’t know 
what the next numbers are.  Also, what specific type of tape device are you 
using?
