When you list the dataset in 3.4, you have to specify the volume on the input panel. Then it will present the override option. When you rename the data set this way, the catalog will not be updated. The assumption being that no one would rename a dataset actually in use. This feature is designed to let you rename a different dataset with the same name since the ENQ does not track the volume.
