I see we have some confusion(probably on my part). To be able to recover, you need to back up everything you mention(entire smpe environment, target and dlib datasets covered by the SMPE environment). I read your initial question with the idea that the GLOBAL, TARGET and DLIB zones were for an entire Serverpac environment (i.e. your entire operating system), vs a single product like CICS or DB2.
