Munif, there is some doc related to how to setup a CTC environment. If you are looking on the IBM hardware website for the z14 you should find a manual on CTC configuration. At our shop the real users of CTCs is XCF and VTAM. Those are the only tasks that have CTC device addresses defined to them. Things like GRS (and others) can use XCF for communications. Tasks like JES or CICS can use IP (OSAs or Hipersockets) or VTAM for communications.
