When you write "z/VM", do you mean RSCS or the z/VM SMTP? IAC, you might consider adding DCB options to XMITIP to control the format of the SPOOL file.

Their configuration is they run XMITIP on z/OS, which generates the SMTP email as a sysout file in the JES2 spool with a destination of a z/VM node and user of the SMTP server on z/VM. The problem is, as I understand it, that z/VM is not accepting the NJE sysout file as it is not punch. XMITIP generates a sysout file that is RECFM(VB) and an LRECL that is based on the largest record in the email, which for reports could be 132 or more. Any advice/wisdom? Thank you Lionel B.
