Why must the input include an IOCONFIG statement in the source when
it's just going to be ignored and the information on the PARM is used?
I have not found a way for the information from the IOCONFIG statement
to used instead.
I am worried that I am missing something.

IMHO the easiest way to migrate IODF is just to copy the VSAM file.
