IIRC there is a bit that causes dataset allocation to bypass the normal ENQ. It is used, for example, by backup programs.
Can anyone share the name of the bit flag? I searched TCB, ASCB and JSCB. Don't worry, I'm not going to use it willy-nilly. I'm not going to code it at all.
