As I recall the 3277 with text support also lacked a caps lock key.

Memorex 1377? I don't recall whether it had a dual case option.

I remember using a clone 327x that transmitted either case depending
on use of the shift key, but folded all to majuscule for display.  Ouch!
And no caps lock, but a shift lock that mechanically latched the shift
key.  I understood it faithfully imitated the behavior of some IBM model.

It's hard to remember that character generator ROMs were once so
expensive.
