Well, mystery solved. It's been broken at my installation for MANY years (pre-dates my employment here). SYS1.CMDLIB was in LINKLST concatenation after my favorite product (CA-Roscoe) which also has a member called RENAME. Somehow, it never occurred to me to check this.

Just tried it. Don't get any errors, but it doesn't do it either. Tried in batch, and get a RC8 but no messages. Tried in ispf option 6, READY prompt, nothing different. Can't say I've used it in years, so maybe its been retired? We are at V2.3 FYI. _________________________________________________________________ Dave Jousma Mainframe Engineering, Assistant Vice President [email protected] 1830 East Paris, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 MD RSCB2H p 616.653.8429 f 616.653.2717 This e-mail transmission contains information that is confidential and may be privileged.
