Hi Tom, We have been running with OSPROTECT=1 for a couple months now. We ran a few crypto and i/o oriented utilities as well as product IVPs and noticed no performance impacts after implementation. That said we are a development shop and don't run typical customer workloads. I would suggest running your own bread and butter workloads in an isolated test LPAR both with and without the maintenance if you're resource constrained in production and want to minimize risk.
