Do you do ADABAS caching? Can you look at the ADABAS shutdown stats? A couple of areas to look at in the shutdown stats...
Logical reads Buffer efficiency Distribution of commands by thread (would also be good to know how many threads you have) High watermarks for the major pools (I have not been able to get a good handle on my FI pool as it is always at 99% but all the other ones I'm able to keep to 50% or less.)
