I have a yellow card "Third Edition (March, 1974)" and I still use it. Mostly for EBCDIC/ASCII reference and powers of 2 and 16. Occasionally for machine instructions but (a.) I know most of the old ones; (b.) there are of course so many new ones; and (c.) I don't write a whole lot of assembler anymore. It is pre-31-bit and shows EC PSW bits 24 to 39 as hard zeros.
Would love to see some new reference that was somehow both up-to-date yet smaller than a phone book. I still have my yellow card (GX20-1850-5) given to me by my old boss @ Sears :) around 1977ish and a hard copy of both the TSO/E Extensions Command language Ref summary (GX23-0015-0) and Data Facility HSM V2R6.0 SYPROG command Ref summary (GX35-5037-6) just can't seem to give them up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
