But doesn't this vitiate the value of concurrency that Kirk mentioned in his original statement of his problem? Does BPXWDYN( 'alloc rtdsn(name) ...' ) return the ...G00V00 value in the returned DSN? If so, FREE the DDNAME and reallocate with the G00V00 string.
