My co-worker noticed the following issue (error?) which I cannot explain:
A dataset JANEK.JANEK.LUDZIE, PS VBA, containing some output from RLIST
command.
Note: JANEK is userid of the co-worker, LUDZIE can be translated to PEOPLE.
ISPF Editor - a command FIND does not find anything!
I have seen this - regular "E" line command in p.3.4, then F "APPL" and
nothing was found, of course we have seen APPL on the screen. The same
with any other string in the file.
Now, something really strange: any name change of LLQ causes the FIND
command working again!
So the same dataset renamed to JANEK.JANEK.LUDZIE1 or JANEK.JANEK.LUDZI
or JANEK.JANEK.LUDZIE.OLD and you can use FIND as usual!
The problem occured on one of our z/OS images, only JANEK userid was
affected.
Something was in ISPPROF, because finally JANEK simple scratched ISPPROF
library and re-logged on again. The issue disappeared.
However I'm curious what setting/component/gismo caused such strange
behavior?
