And this is ever-so-slightly related to mainframes because I was at a
job interview in 1997 at Tone Software in Anaheim, and when I mentioned
my new daughter to the owner I was surprised he took the time to click
on each link. Nice guy, and he seemed to really care about his
employees. They were doing very well at the time, and had just
purchased the large building they were in. They seemed to have way more
unix programmers than MVS though - which I guess was a sign of the times.
