What are the limits of extended format PS dataset?
123 extents per volume - that's clear
59 volumes - that's also clear.
However during RTFM I found the following limits:
a) 1 000 000 000 tracks per volume (see IEC030I)
b) 2^32 blocks, for half-track blocksize it mean approx. 2 147 483 648
tracks (total? per volume?)
I know it's really hard to reach those limits nowadays, but I'd like to
clarify that.
BTW: What is the difference between v1 and v2 extended format PS
introduced in z/OS 2.x?
