IBM just introduced a new, Web-based, interactive COBOL Migration Assistant that augments the Enterprise COBOL V5 and V6 Migration Guides. The online Enterprise COBOL V5/V6 Migration Assistant is available here:
https://cobol-migration-assistant.mybluemix.net And/or, as a reminder, if you'd like to try the Automatic Binary Optimizer (ABO) to see what impact it has on your Enterprise COBOL Version 3.x and Version 4.x programs, IBM introduced a cloud-based, zero installation trial: https://optimizer.mybluemix.net You simply upload an existing COBOL module to the ABO Trial Cloud service. The IBM service runs ABO on your COBOL module, and then you can download the optimized module for testing and performance measurement on your system. It's another simple, quick, and easy way to test the Automatic Binary Optimizer. (On-site Trial Edition licenses for both Enterprise COBOL Version 6.1 and the Automatic Binary Optimizer are also still available.)
