​There's a 64 bit XPLINK COBOL compiler now? I can't see anything in the
current documentation about that. PL/I version 5.1 does have an LP64 option
for 64 bit programs.​ I don't know of any shops which really use PL/I. I
absolutely adored that language in college; much more so than COBOL or
FORTRAN.
