I was basing this on the instructions for installing the z/OS Customized Offerings Driver (COD) from DVD. I have been subsequently informed that the method for creating the DFSMSDSS IPLable DVD is not documented, and neither is the method for putting the volume dump images onto DVDs in a format that standalone DFSMSDSS can restore.
