AFAIK Nexus 3270 is even cheaper (and definitely the ...fastest, and
the smallest). The cheapest is wc3270 which is windows-compatible
clone of x3270. It's free.
Of course Vista is realy good stuff! BTW: Once upon a time I've got a
licence from Tom ...for free.
From the other hand, IBM PCOMM is huge, slow and damn expensive. It's
quite good as well, but I wouldn't want to pay for it.
We have PComm here and I won't use it. It has keyboard lag and the
font's don't scale. POS!
It is rarely needed now, but PCOMM supports variety of connection ways,
including SNA, coax, etc. Having PCOMM you can set up woriking SNA
network between workstations. Keyboard can be *easily* redefined. Fonts
are not scalable, but very good shape (for terminal purposes) IMHO. BTW:
AFAIR Vista 3270 also do not use scalable fonts.
PCOMM also has good features for IND$file transmissions.
Last, but not least for me: it is one of very few 3270 emulator which
*correctly* support polish characters.
