The ISC ("Software Manufacturing") download servers are entirely disjoint from the ecurep and testcase upload/download servers used for submitting diagnostic data. For ecurep and testcase we suggest, but do not require, pre-encryption of the data if a secure connection is not used. Outside an *optional* separate program that provides secure upload (and other stuff), for which you have to register, I know of no plans to require secure connections for this process. The separate program is called "Blue Diamond," and you can get more information here:
