Or take it down from another LPAR while your problem system is down.

I see this thread is about a very messy *weekend* problem which could be 
avoided in the first place by cataloging the dataset properly on the proper 
volser while getting your PARMLIB members sorted out.

One approach to resolve the OP's problem could be this: Create a brand new 
library (with a brand new name). Catalog that properly on a volser. Double 
check that the new name is defined in Linklst and APF members and the OLD name 
is NOT there.

Then IPL!

Then when everything is fine, you can then fall back to your old name later 
with dynamic settings, but I prefer ANOTHER IPL instead using dynamic settings.

As always, while useful and handy, dynamic settings + commands are there for 
emergencies only.

I was very near that messy things in the past. When in doubt I have someone 
else reviewing + RTFM + discussing my steps before I continue. Then do my 
things after hours of course.
