So in the z/OS MVS Diagnosis: Tools and Service Aids>System trace>Reading system
trace output>Summary of system trace entry identifiers it states
BSG Branch on subspace group BSG, PC, PR, PT, PTI, SSAR and SSIR
trace entries

In the z/OS MVS Diagnosis: Tools and Service Aids>System trace>Reading system
trace output>BSG, PC, PR, PT, PTI, SSAR and SSIR trace entries it states:
An SSIR trace entry represents a Set Secondary Address Space Number with
Instance (SSAIR) control instruction

And from the Extended programming Guide
z/OS MVS>z/OS MVS Programming: Extended Addressability Guide>Synchronous cross
memory communication>Terminology, macros, and assembler
instructions>Instructions used for cross memory communication

SSAIR (set secondary ASN and instance) - Sets the secondary address space and
instance number to the desired address space and instance number.

So I am not sure what is missing here. Will the BSG entries help you resolve
your issue?
