Hmmph... Shows how up to date with JES2 I am. (Actually there are only
minimal comment changes in HASCHAM, with plenty of references to SVC
111 remaining. But I accept that it's gone...) Nonetheless, my point
remains that a would-be author of a subsystem I/O method has similar
work to do:
