First,

You indicate that you are using 3.4 with the dataset name and volser, is that
correct?
If so, when you are in 3.4 use PF11 and scroll to the right to ensure the
dataset exists.
In 3.4 a dataset that is cataloged only but no physical data set will not
have SPACE or other attributes as you go through the panels
If in 3.4 and you try to browse, press PF1 1 or two times. Copy all the
messages and paste them for us to see.
When you get the message, what messages are in SYSLOG when you access this
datasets? Any ICH (RACF or your SAF product), IGD, IEC, IEE, etc for this
dataset. If yes, please paste them for us to see

You may mask an company proprietary information, but the entire messages should
be included.

On a system where you can browse the dataset, tell us what catalog it is in. In
the 3.4 panel select the CATALOG entry and make sure you do NOT include the
volser to browse it. It is in your Master Cat or Usercat?
Provide the LISTC ENT('dsn') ALL and paste it for us to see.

Thanks
