At a customer, I am apparently seeing SMFRTEST return code zero for type 17 'SYS ' even though D SMF,O clearly shows that Type 17 is not enabled.
Does anyone know if https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1II11069 (from 1998 -- no point in rushing into a fix!) is still relevant? Does anyone know of any other explanations? Is there any work-around -- some other API that will work even if the CA front-end is in place Parenthetically, does anyone know why CA would choose to implement an SVC front-end that provides misleading information?
