Due to wrapping, I'm not sure what you are seeing. An example of a
continued string literal is on:

But, honestly, I _never_ do that in a DISPLAY. Because I can just do:
DISPLAY 'THE FIRST PART OF A VERY LONG '
'SENTENCE WHICH GOES ACROSS '
'A LOT OF LINES.'
