Thanks.  I have tunnel vision because I have little hope of persuading
my ISV employer to support the server configuration needed for RECEIVE
FROMNETWORK since mainframe software doesn't approch a single-
digit percentage of our enterprise.  I need to concentrate on RECEIVE
FROMNTS.

Thanks.  May the SUBDIR operand contain a multi-level directory path?
Might I put multiple payload files in multi-level directories in the .pax.Z?
Pax might extract them, and SMP/E might be unaware.  (Do I seem to
be re-inventing the conventional UNIX tarball?)
