Thomas Berg is writing 'tongue in cheek' that people simply don't understand the environment in which IEFBR14 runs. I agree 101% with Thomas. He is also referring to all those 1001 'behind the curtain' services the z/OS is running before giving control to IEFBR14 running with only two instructions.
