For NET and OMVS that is true. For TSO NOT TRUE, in fact, depending on your setup, TSO is dependent on TCPIP (and/or NET) TCPIP may also require HSM if your SMS and HSM is not setup properly. Would you like it to have TCPIP waits for some recalls? Ask me, our storage guys got badly burned during an IPL many moons ago. ;-) I'm not sure about GSKSRVR, because in my place it is started on ad-hoc base when we need a trace. Are there any documentations available that TCPIP is requiring GSKSRVR during start up? TIA!
