How very strange. I did a quick search to see what this manual you are
reading is, and came up with z/OS System Messages Volume 5 (EDG - GFS)
Version 2 Release 1. Didn't make much sense in this context, but then
I remembered noticing a month or two ago that there was a new (and
quirky) edition of the NJE Formats and Protocols book out, and looked
at the PDF I had downloaded. They are both SA38-0672-00! The file
names are quite different, and given that the other z/OS System
Messages are all in the SA38-0668-SA38-0676 range, I assume it's the
NJE manual that got double booked, as it were.

There are several editions of the NJE protocols book out there:

SC23-0070-03 from way back when, and dropped in 2005
SA22-7539-02 from 2007
SA32-0988-00 shown in the Knowledge Center. But the PDF link downloads
a book claiming to be SA38-0672-00.

I don't think I've ever seen a double assigned IBM book number before.
