Anil, especially in terms of trying things out quickly and painlessly, you might have a look at the following site. Tivoli did quite a bit of work last year around SaaS delivery, and App Monitoring is available there. There are demo videos for a first-level assessment (is the eye candy sweet enough) and a free trial option (30 days) if you want to dig deeper. As a later post said, the basic model is agent-based; that much has not changed.
