Correct. When formatting your storage device, you can't format a full number of the same size.
In fact, we formatted a large amount of model 54's(?) with 57 GB, a number of model 12 GB's for data that will never be able to fill a model 57 and formatted the remaining space with model 9's, 3' and 1's. in fact, IIRC, all volumes must be a multiple of 1111 cyls, a 3390 model 1. Maybe if you really demand all volumes to be equal size, you could probably format them as model 51's or so. It is all transparent to the system.
