I would say that that need not go into the guide but simply into the reference since that really is "reference information" not "guidance information". Guidance information is intended to describe how you use the service (often a group of related services), and for a simple service like IARCP64 (IMO) it is quite intuitive how you would use it. >I would thank them, not tell them that they had told me >in the wrong way. I do forward a fair number of things that I glean from this forum to the ID folks, but I do not own the documentation for z/OS, and "gleaning" is often a way to lose some context that was important to the point being made. If I were asked specifically to forward something because the requestor did not know where to send it, I would gladly do so. And I would in doing so let the requestor know what is the right place to send it so that in the future they could use that. Using the right place is the most effective use of everyone's time. I trust we do not disagree that we strive to make effective use of our time.
