Perhaps you are mis-remembering the release. I would expect that in OS/390
2.10 there was nothing because 64-bit virtual did not exist until z/OS
1.2.
IARV64 was fully documented in the release in which it was introduced.
It's hardly surprising that in a staged plan that the initial version
contained only get/free and no sharing (GETSHARED was introduced in z/OS
1.5).
Now I understand how hard it was to use 64-bit memory object in OS/390
2.10. No doco, no information, even no support for such objects in the
system...
