As with many things, "it depends", in part on what you mean by "associated 
with". Common Area Data Spaces (CADS) might be thought to be associated 
with their creating address space but of course are addressable from all. 
I don't recall if they "go away" when the creating address space goes 
away; normally they would be created by an address space that is not 
memtermable (such as *master*).
