To address one of your concerns. The message is for information, not an 
error. There are advantages to BCPii support, but your hardware does not 
support it. Reformatting the couple data set will lead to a different 
informational message that you can't do anything about. 

OTOH I recommend reformatting now in case the tooth fairly brings you an 
upgrade. Reformatting now will save you having to do it later when you've 
forgotten about it.
