FWIW, CA's latest reply is to recommend the client "abandon your decades-old CA 
JMR/SMR investment and migrate to a replacement-product CA-VIEW which works 
correctly in a mixed-OS/JES (V1R13 & V2R1) JESPLEX environment."  And also now 
it's being debated about whether this is an enhancement as opposed to 'fix'.
