Nick informed me that the installer has been updated, and I was able to install 
XMI Explorer without requiring Administrator access. Errors that occur during 
the install without Admin can be ignored by clicking on "Ignore", and the 
Explorer extensions will not be present as a result. After the install, still 
not using Admin access, I configured Explorer to associate .xmi and .xmit files 
with XMI Explorer via the usual way of making associations (right click, open, 
etc).
