Try doing this: (1) Run a job that does nothing except dynamically construct the JCL for the real job. The jobstep would get the system date and then do the date subtraction to calculate the member name. The generated JCL would then be submitted via the internal reader. (2) The dynamically submitted application job then runs with the JCL DSN's and member names configured correctly.
