The Linux file emulate a 3390 or a 3380 volume. Do you can restore s DFDSS dump to it. It is in what is sometimes called AWS format. I didn't think Colin wanted to share. I think he wanted to be able to access a volume from one system from another. I think ZD&T and its big brother zPDT have been withdrawn by IBM. Running a sysplex is possible under zPDT if you run multiple z/OS images under z/VM.
Hope that helps Lennie -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Paul Gilmartin Sent: 26 February 2026 22:34 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Share ZFS? Is that Linux file compatible with such as DFDSS archive? Does the OP want sharing?
