Are they superzap compatible? You then have to deal with the product group (e.g. JAVA) who will probably refuse. I suspect relfiles would be more acceptable but it doesn't hurt to ask. >Any possibility of putting this on VTAPE? Sure, relfiles can be placed on VTAPE. You still need to deal with the product group. The product developers have many options because SMP/e is very robust. ++MOD supports relfile, lklib, fromds, txlib and ???. There's an SMPPFTIN exit. There are various utilities like GIMUNZIP. I suggest you contact a specific product group, present your problem and possible SMP/e features they might not have considered. Someone mentioned Java as one of the problem products. You could DISP=(NEW,KEEP,KEEP) with a DSN and see what it contains. You can then give specifics if they need them. Or you could find the larget PTF in your SMPPTS. Once you get one product fixed, you can use it as the example on how to fix it. Maybe you can contact Share. Do they have an SMP/e group? Do they already have a requirement for this? The question is what specifically do you want to achieve and how can you best achieve it. Right now, I'm making wild guesses on your goal. Maybe you narrow this down to 1 specific thing and we can give you some guidance. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
