I agree with others on this list that have said it is a good idea (great idea) to re-assemble with each new z/OS version to insure you maintain a good current listing. However, I know that we document exactly which exits may be copied over from previous releases of CA 1 to the newer release without re-assembly as part of our upgrade documentation. So, in case you want to simply perform a dynamic upgrade from the old release to the current release it might be easier to forgo the re-assembly.
But, we document them specifically.
