Anyone remember z800?
It was assembled by Hitachi, I don't know why. Note, it is about z800, not z900. Regarding plant codes the machine I used had 83 code - so it seems a bit more complex. Perhaps IBM did not assign separate code for Hitachi.
BTW: Mainz (Germany) and Vac (Hungary) shared the code.

Definitive list, allegedly; don't ask me why Montpellier is still listed, or what
"(Power)" means--I mean, we can guess, but POK sure isn't what I think of when I think
"Power":

Manufacturing Plant Codes
01 - Endicott
02 - Poughkeepsie (Power)
06 - China
08 - Beaverton
10 - Rochester
13 - San Jose
21 - Guadalajara (Power)
23 - Raleigh
41 - Charlotte
44 - Santa Polumbo
51 - Montpellier
65 - Dublin
68 - Singapore
75 - Mainz/Vac
78 - Guadalajara (Power)
83 - Dublin
84 - Singapore

Interesting that there's ONE called simply "China".
