Hi all, Unfortunately, after reading the manual about the FIXCDS command I am not much better than I was before. So, I have a ten generation backup that has seven valid backups and three entries in error, which means that what I really have is a seven generation backup. There are three entries that are blocked. For each of these three entries, when I issue the HLIST BCDS command, I have a ARC0184I message:
ARC0184I ERROR WHEN READING THE DFSMSHSM CONTROL DATA SET C RECORD FOR ............................................, RC=004 So, I need to delete these three records that are in error. I just do not see how can I address them. What if I change the backup generation number to seven from ten? Will HSM remove the three records in error, or will I loose three of the seven that I do have and still be stuck with the three in error?
