Subject: IEAMSXMP - Cross Memory POST - Supervisor State required?

External Message: Use Caution

Scenario: Two unauthorized programs (A and B) running in two different address
spaces (AS).

How can A POST to B? Service IEAMSXMP is a solution (I coded it; it
definitely works), but it requires supervisor state. Is there another POST
cross-memory service that doesn't require authorization?

The POST macro documentation alludes to cross-memory usage when LINKAGE=SYSTEM
is specified, but "The ECB must be in the caller's primary address space."
In the scenario above, the ECB is in another address space.

Access mode allows one unauthorized AS to read/write to another unauthorized
AS, so why the IEAMSXMP supervisor-state-only restriction?

Thanks -
Richard Zierdt
