The "loss of system function" isn't referring to subsystem name hashing (and 
the SETSSI DELETE command should take care of that kind of cleanup anyway).  
That statement is really referring to whatever function the subsystem provides 
- so if you delete some really important subsystem that you need to run the 
system, you might not have a usable system anymore.  Also, not every subsystem 
supports being added dynamically, so if you delete one of those subsystems, 
you're out of luck.
